Gaining Ground - Groundworks
Monday 24th February 2020
11.30 - 2.00

at Jelf Clark Thomson offices, Fairways Business Park, Inverness

As we are getting closer to the shortest day thoughts are turning to the new season for many crofters. Thoughts of turning over a veg patch, putting the tups out and planning for the new season. During the Gaining Ground project we have been meeting with a variety of crofters and stakeholders to find out how you can be supported on your social crofting journey. Back in the summer at Glachbeg the focus groups highlighted that a lot of people who were interested in social crofting simply didn't know where to start when it comes to planning, preparation and paperwork.

We are delighted to announce that we will be running an event focusing on these aspects of strategic planning for social crofting and will be hosting an event in Inverness with two workshops over lunch so there will be a chance to meet others who share an interest and network.

Workshop 1 - Risk assessments, policies and procedures for social crofting enterprises led by Sarah Asher from Darach Croft

Workshop 2 - Finding the right insurance for social crofting led by Chris Smith and Carolyn Oddy from Jelf Clark Thomson.

The event is FREE but booking is required for catering.

Bookings can be made by contacting us here or by calling 01854 612220.
